Most visitors start their visit at the base of Salto do Cabrito. The waterfall drops approximately 40 meters into a cool mountain pool. Dense vegetation surrounds the gorge, creating an enclosed, jungle-like environment.

You can view the falls from below, swim in the clear water, or climb the adjacent steps to see the historic hydroelectric pipes. The base is free to access and open year-round.

Suspended grated pathways run directly over the old hydroelectric pipes. Walking on them provides clear views of the gorge and the water rushing below. The grating is transparent, which can be dizzying. Avoid looking straight down if you suffer from vertigo.
